Returns Policy

Our Policy

Prahran Publishing sells physical books direct to readers. We stand behind the quality of every copy we send out. If an item you receive is defective — damaged in transit, misprinted, or otherwise not fit for reading — we will replace it with a non-defective copy at no cost to you.

We do not accept returns for change of mind, ordering errors, or any other reason. We are a small independent press, not a library, and our titles are not available on approval.

What Counts as Defective

A defective item is one that is physically impaired in a way that affects its readability or integrity: pages missing or out of sequence, severe print defects, binding failure, or damage sustained during delivery that renders the book unsatisfactory.

Normal variation in print colour, minor cover scuffs from handling, or cosmetic imperfections that do not affect the reading experience do not constitute defects.

How to Make a Claim

If you believe your item is defective, please contact us within 14 days of receiving your order. We will ask you to provide:

— your order number or proof of purchase
— a brief description of the defect
— one or more photographs clearly showing the issue

Once we have assessed your claim and confirmed the defect, we will arrange to send a replacement copy. We do not require you to return the defective item unless we specifically request it.

eBooks and Digital Products

Sales of eBooks and other digital products are final. If you experience a technical issue with a digital purchase, please contact the retailer through whom you made the purchase (Amazon Kindle, Apple Books, Google Play, or Kobo), as the delivery and file integrity of digital products is managed by those platforms.

Gift Cards

Prahran Publishing gift cards are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
